Mentory Circle Privacy Policy
What data we collect when you sign up and learn, what we use it for, and how you can control your own data.

1. Who manages your data
PT Mentory Sirkel Indonesia, based in Jakarta, is the controller of the personal data you provide on mentorycircle.com and in the Mentory Circle dashboard. This policy follows Indonesia’s Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP).
2. Data we collect
- Sign-up and consultation: name, email, WhatsApp number, coding experience, motivation, and how you heard about us.
- Account: email, name, a profile photo if you upload one, and your password stored as a hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile photo from your Google account.
- Payments: amount, transfer date, destination bank, sender name, note and transfer receipt.
- Learning activity: attendance, quiz and challenge answers, hint use, progress, and feedback you send about the material.
- Site usage: pages visited, device type and approximate location from analytics tools.
3. What we use your data for
- Signing you up, sending class schedules and links, and running your dashboard account.
- Checking payments and opening class access.
- Contacting you by email or WhatsApp about sign-up, classes and payments.
- Grading assessments and tracking learning progress.
- Improving the material and the site from usage statistics.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when signing up and to perform our agreement with you as a student. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who else processes data
- Vercel: site hosting, file storage (transfer receipts are private, profile photos are public) and visitor analytics.
- Supabase: the database, in the Singapore region.
- Our email service provider: sign-up emails, sign-in codes and payment updates.
- Google: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for statistics, sign-in with Google, and Google Calendar and Google Meet for consultations.
- Zoom: live classes.
- WhatsApp: when you contact us or we contact you.
- Telegram: internal notifications to our team about new sign-ups and payments, containing those sign-up and payment details.
They process data only for the purposes above. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
5. Where data is stored
Your data is stored on the servers of the providers above, including in Singapore and other countries where Vercel and Google operate. This means your data may be transferred outside Indonesia. We choose providers with an equal or higher standard of data protection.
6. How long we keep data
- Account and learning data: while you are enrolled, and up to 2 years after your last activity so you can come back and continue.
- Sign-up data from people who did not become students: up to 2 years.
- Payment data: as long as tax regulations require.
8. Your rights
- Ask for a copy of your personal data.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your data or account.
- Withdraw your consent to processing.
- Object to specific processing.
Send your request to official@mentorycircle.com. We respond within 3 x 24 hours. Deleting your account or withdrawing consent means you can no longer access classes.
9. Security
Passwords are stored as hashes, sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes, and transfer receipts are kept in private storage only our team can open.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we notify you and the competent authority within 3 x 24 hours, as UU PDP requires.
10. Under 18
If you are under 18, you need consent from a parent or guardian. A parent may pay on the student’s behalf.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The last-updated date is at the top of this page, and we announce important changes by email or in the dashboard.
